Vintage Rose Nail Art

Hello everybody, nobody (yet),
This is my first blog post for Polished Pooka and I'm super stoked for an awesome summer full of nail art, reviews, swatches, and all the likes of it!
For the transition between Spring to Summer I thought I'd try something I've been wanting to try, vintage roses! So here is my first attempt. A cool mint for Spring and a warm and sunny coral for Summer.

After prepping my nails I added a base coat of Sinful Colors Base Coat.

For my pointer finger I used L'Oréal Orange you jealous?
and topped it off with Julep Camille
The mint color on the rest of my nails is Xtreme wear Mint Sorbet
For the roses I created dots with L'Oréal Orange you jealous on the Mint Sorbet and then I added depth with different shades of pink Sally Hansen I Pink I Can and Drew Berrymoore's Flower "Gorgeous Gerbera" (Sold only at Walmart)

For my thumbs I used the Mint Sorbet and made the dots with a limited edition polish from Julep named "Bunny" and the pinky was created with a white striper from L.A. Colors Art Deco "White."
The look was topped off with a clear coat of Sally Hansen Clear'd for Takeoff.

Here is the final shot and also here is a link to my  inspiration and one of my favorite nail bloggers.
Hope you enjoyed the look! Here's to hoping the base coat works wonders because I'm absolutely in love with these nails and I want to keep them on for awhile.
