31 Day Nail Art Challenge 2.0: Day 2 Yellow or Green

It's time for day 2 of the nail art challenge. Yellow or Green and I chose green!  I'm blogging and babysitting today. Some friends needed someone to watch their little girl so here I sit, watching her eat rice cakes and "dippin'." So cute! It's been so long since I've been a sitter! 

As far as the manicure, unfortunately for me, all these pictures turned out a little blurry. Not terrible, but not as crisp as they usually are. I don't really understand because I haven't changed any settings on my camera or my light box set up, so it's a little frustrating. None the less, it's a pretty manicure so I decided to share it.

Wow, that's a long title. But here's the deal, I'm participating in another challenge! Last time I tried a challenge it didn't turn out so well. I lasted 8 days. D: Yikes! However, this one is a little more lenient, we're only posting two days a week: Mondays and Thursdays, so that will be 8 looks a month! For me, with my limited internet situation, this schedule will work out a lot better AND I'll be able to put more time into each look because I won't be so worried about "pumping out posts." It's called the 31 Day Nail Art Challenge 2.0. It's a spin off or "enhancement" of the 31 Day Challenge that lots of bloggers will be doing this month. Day one is Red or Orange (Full schedule listed at the end of this post!)

For this look I used Julep Myriam, black acrylic paint, and Orly Luxe. (Olry Rage's golden sister)

I just used a striping brush to create an X on my nail in black then outlined it with Luxe, pretty simple but it makes a statement! :)

Blazing in Brazil

Hello Spring beauties! Are you suffering the cold front, too? Yesterday there was snow falling from the sky and flowers falling from the trees as I walked to my car. It was an interesting juxtaposition! It seems like it may be warming up a little, and I surely hope it does. My brother's outdoor wedding is in just over two weeks! Cross your fingers for us that it's warm for the ceremony and reception.

I literally JUST glanced up at the "Title bar" on this page and came up with this outrageously corny name. I used two colors from OPI's Brazil collection, so I thought, Brazil! I was trying to summon the warm weather gods with this one, doesn't look like it worked. : /

Hey dolls, I know it can't be just me. You know when you see a polish that you just need? I mean, you NEED it. The world may stop spinning if you don't paint it on your fingers? (Ok, I'm being a little dramatic, but you don't what I mean.) Well, that polish for me was A England She Walks in Beauty. Wow, what a stunner. Gold shimmer with chunky rose glitter; I needed it in my life! That was until I couldn't find a single place that had it in stock! Guess everybody needed it. Then I stumbled across this, which to me is a pretty dead on dupe - Check it out and tell me what you think.

I hope yule like these nails. I loved them so much, I wanted to present them to everyone. When I did, everybody said "holly crap, those look treemendous." In fact, one girl loved them so much, she was stocking me for a week to figure out how to do them. She didn't want the design on her fingers, but instead on her mistletoes. (Ok, i'm done.)

Gold Roses is from the Rent the Runway collection in which they released ten new polishes. This is a limited edition polish, so if you're a rose gold lover, you need to hurry up and get this!
