I have a special post today! Mostly because I wanted to put a rush on it so you all could get a good polish deal if you so desired! I went to Walgreen's today.... Emmm, on very important business... And I happened to stumble into the nail polish aisle and saw the new "SallyHansen Triple Shine" polish display and I almost passed it by, until I saw it was on sale buy one and get one 1/2 off! (This sale ends today! So hurry to Walgreen's and grab some fun colors!) So I caved and grabbed two lovely shades, "Vanity Flair" and "Wavy Blue."
Here's what Sally Hansen says about their new line...'
"Water to workout, day in and day out, nothing will dull these nails. The gloss is protected with the Ultimate Shield Complex, exclusive to Sally Hansen, designed to help polish withstand the wear and tear of everyday living for non-stop shine."
Now, what I say about their new line...
First up, Vanity Flair, a bright purple creme. This polish is the definition of purple. This is a unique shade to me, I have lighter purples, I have lavenders and deep wine purples, but this is a true "childhood" purple. It reminds me of Lisa Frank, she would use this color.
Next up is Wavy Blue, a deep, shimmery blue with small specs of purple.

I used two coats for the swatches below. The first coat was rather sheer but I achieved better opacity on the second coat. Despite the thinness of this polish, it didn't dry very quickly, I felt like my nails were still "tacky" quite awhile after Vanity Flair was dry on my other hand. If I weren't in a hurry, I would have added a third coat, but ... alas, we'll have to deal with a few bald spots. I really liked this color, and it seemed to have more shine than the creme, I think that's due in part to the shimmer in Wavy Blue.
The polish actually has small purple specs in it, but it's not showing in the pictures.
Yay! Look at that sparkle on the left! But seriously, something I really loved about this polish was the awesome, amazing, incredible brush! It's reminiscent of the Sally Hansen Complete Salon Manicure line, but better... I literally had the most minimal clean up I have ever had with these polishes. I probably could have skipped the clean up all together but, it's such a habit, I did it anyways. The brush fit exactly to my cuticle shape and I was even able to get to the curvy parts that other brushes usually miss. For example, I did zero clean up on the ring and thumb of the purple polish and none on the pointer and middle of the blue. Go check the pictures, doesn't the cuticle line look awesome? Precision ftw.
Lastly, something I liked/didn't like was the bottle shape and cap. Because the bottles are so tall, the brush stem is pretty long, similar to the SH Xtreme Wear and Julep polishes. Though, the polish is thin enough that I didn't have dripping issues as I do with the two previous polishes. Also, notice that lid in front of my cute cat? Yeah, it's removable=awesome. Have you ever used the Cover Girl polish? Those lids aren't removable (unless you rip it off, breaking the glue) and it makes it difficult to hold the brush, but Triple Shine doesn't have that problem! They maintain their adorable bottle shape, but have a removable cap so you can hold a normal size brush for precision.
